Tournaments begin at 9:00am sharp. All preceding rounds will start ASAP.
The tournaments are 5 round SS, Game in 30 minutes. NO ONE IS
ELIMINATED. All players play all 5 games. There are 5 divisions K-1,
K-3, K-5, K-8, K-12 and Open (adults only).
The
entry fee for the tournament will be $20 per player, per tournament. There
is a discount rate of $18 per tournament if the season is paid for in
advance. The total would be $90 for the season.
*All
players must be USCF members, or they can play in the non-member
division that does not require a membership. There will be no exceptions
made. The USCF member tournaments are typically rated within few hours
after the final round. If you need to obtain or renew a USCF
membership, you can do so online at
www.uschess.org.
Grand Prix registrations
will be accepted online starting several days before the tournament.
A link will be provided which will take you to the registration page. All players
are strongly encouraged to pre-register
online. If you miss online pre-registration, however, don't worry; simply
come to the
tournament and register on site by 8:45 am. If a player registers
after that time, that player will enter
in the second round with a half point bye. If you have any questions

PCS
tournaments are open to both public and private schools. Players must
attend the school that they are playing for.
Individual trophies will be given at the conclusion of each
tournament. Team trophies will be given after the 5 tournaments are
completed. In both the K-1 and K-12 divisions, 3 trophies to the top
3 places will be given. In K-3, K-5 and K-8 divisions, trophies for
the top 5 places will be given.
