Why
Chess?
Chess is scientifically proven to help students
with concentration, strategic thinking, logic, calculation, and planning,
along with many other mental benefits. It is also one of the only games
proven to improve a person's IQ. Currently there are 15 colleges and
universities that are offering chess scholarships. There is documentation
showing the improvement of the test scores of chess players. Chess is
a sport that allows competition without a gender or age barrier. It
gives children a way to compete not only against each other, but with
adults also.
